I had a great time with Victoria Arpel's manicure training. The course includes 23 modules that cover all the essentials for performing a top-notch manicure, such as understanding nail and skin health, as well as the actual manicure process, which involves prep work, filing, cuticle care, hand massage techniques, and applying polish or French polish. Victoria's instructional videos for each section really enhance the workbooks, making it super helpful to see the different steps in action. I did find the multiple-choice quizzes for each section a bit challenging at times since you need to score 100% to pass, and they don’t indicate which questions you got wrong. However, if you call Next Step Beauty, they’ll let you know what you need to revisit, which was a big help. The guy I talked to was really nice too. For the final practical assessments, you need to perform five manicures: one with light polish, two with dark polish, and two with French polish, plus submit before and after photos. There’s no rush to finish the course, and sending in your photos was all pretty easy. I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to pick up skills and get certified for insurance. I’m really looking forward to taking more courses with Next Step Beauty soon.

The step-by-step video by Victoria is super helpful and easy to follow; you can replay it as many times as you need until you’re ready to do the practical work and send it in for grading. Once you finish the course, you get a lovely certificate that can be mailed to you or downloaded from your portal, and it’s good for insurance too. Since I wrapped up the course, I’ve picked up more clients and feel way more confident offering this new service. Big thanks to Next Step Beauty!
